Pip Posted October 10, 2019 Share #1 Posted October 10, 2019 I picked up a lot of military items and in them were these wings. I was wondering if anyone could help identify the time period they are from. The first 3 are marked sterling. The top one I cant figure out how to get the clasps off they seem to be smashed in. triplecanopy Posted October 11, 2019 Share #3 Posted October 11, 2019 The Sterling Jump Wings are marked 12C which means they were made by CORO (Cohn-Rosenberger) a New York company that essentially went out of business in 1969. So These wings were definitely made post WWII. The 12C mark was used after 1960 and likely from the mid 1960's when the US Govt ceased ordering sterling badges. To remove the damaged clutches, spray some WD-40 on them and gently use a pair of needle nosed pliers and pull them off. Good luck.
