Any idea which war era this comes from? It has somewhat of a plastic/rayon texture to it, not the cloth as I'm familiar with. The stars seem to be painted/ironed on. Any thoughts on which war?

Thanks.

Jerry, now that I look at it more closely, it's like it's a silkish material that has has the red and blue painted on it. Again, not really "cloth".

I would say pretty certainly WWII.

I would consider that a World War 2-era piece - nice one!

Any thoughts on cleaning what looks to be something akin to a rust stain in the corner?

IMO I would just leave it be. I had to look close to even see it. and using a bleach stick might leave you with a bright white spot or worse a hole.

Agree with everything above.... it's WW2, and I would leave it as is.
