lamarhooten Posted October 2, 2019 Author Share #28 Posted October 2, 2019 An 81st Div with no black border. A OD green border one?
warcollect1942 Posted October 2, 2019 Share #29 Posted October 2, 2019 Would someone explain how to cut down a 75th with an OD border to look like my post of a 75th without an OD border. Also worldwarpatches has another 75th without OD border for sale. I would like an expert to explain this.

lamarhooten Posted October 2, 2019 Author Share #31 Posted October 2, 2019 My 2 cents worth, i would say it was part of the setup for the start of the web and is a mistake/ incomplete patch. The weaver has not got the needle register on the machine set up right yet.
Wake1941 Posted October 2, 2019 Share #32 Posted October 2, 2019 My 2 cents worth, i would say it was part of the setup for the start of the web and is a mistake/ incomplete patch. The weaver has not got the needle register on the machine set up right yet. I always thought the early od borderless ones were usually done by gemsco
ASMIC2971 Posted October 2, 2019 Share #33 Posted October 2, 2019 Cant forget the 92nd with the OD border instead (scanner washed the colors out on this one). I also see more OD border 81st Infantry Divisions than I see 92nd's for sale.
BILL THE PATCH Posted October 2, 2019 Share #34 Posted October 2, 2019 I don't think it's a error patch, you can see a detailed bdr 75th looks like its cut or an error to me
Dogsbody Posted October 3, 2019 Share #35 Posted October 3, 2019 Great patches, everyone. How about this greenback OD border 2nd division patch? I don't know if it is particularly rare/hard to find but I don't see them too often. Rene
lamarhooten Posted October 3, 2019 Author Share #36 Posted October 3, 2019 Maybe I look at way to many patches, but i do not think that they are to hard to find. Here are two and the right one is on twill.

lamarhooten Posted October 3, 2019 Author Share #42 Posted October 3, 2019 Here arte a few 3rd Corp ones. The two with darker colored sections are just a result of how the weave reflects the light. One is greenback and the other is not. The one with the smaller white triangle and blue border around it is the only one like I have seen. Real nice wavy weave to it. John4022 Posted October 3, 2019 Share #45 Posted October 3, 2019 Theres a nice OD Border 101st currently on eBay that I just found. Its terribly advertised but the bidding is up to $535, it ends in 5 hours. Maybe someone thats looking for an example can get it cheaper than what dealers are asking.
