lamarhooten Posted October 1, 2019 Share #1 Posted October 1, 2019 I recall an article(?) that was on here or in an ASMIC Trading Post that had the rare or hard to find OD border patches. 101st and 82nd fall into this area. Anyone have an idea or list the could share. I have been putting together a list myself and would like to get all the info I can. Here is my 92nd I have just got for an example. vintageproductions Posted October 1, 2019 Share #11 Posted October 1, 2019 great od bdr collection , not sure about that 92nd it was never made with od bdr. Can we see the back? There is a post about it already on the forum. The od border was added and then it was worn on a uniform for a long time. Who knows why it was added in the first place, but meant something to the GI who wore it.
warcollect1942 Posted October 1, 2019 Share #12 Posted October 1, 2019 Back of the 82nd with black border. It is FE. Does anybody know where it was made or when?
mortaydc60 Posted October 1, 2019 Share #13 Posted October 1, 2019 Yes there was an article in the Trading Post on this subject and was one of the first color print in the TP and was in fact a pull out center piece. Think it was in 90's.
ASMIC2971 Posted October 1, 2019 Share #14 Posted October 1, 2019 I think the edition you're getting at is the J-S 1993 Trading Post.

lamarhooten Posted October 2, 2019 Author Share #17 Posted October 2, 2019 Found the Trading Post article this mourning and yes, this is the one i was looking for. Thanks for all the pics and info about these patches. I would still like to know what everyone has listed as the rarer/more expensive ones. mortaydc60 Posted October 2, 2019 Share #18 Posted October 2, 2019 Add the 2nd and 3rd Service Cmd OD border to the rare ones.
ASMIC2971 Posted October 2, 2019 Share #19 Posted October 2, 2019 I would take the 34th off a list of rare OD borders, unless its a whiteback. Those seem tougher to find versus the OD Border with greenback. However both can be found with relative ease. Just my opinion, from a guy that collects that division.
