I haven't been very active lately but thought I post some pics of my last project.  This is the Elco 80ft PT Boat by Italeri Models.  It was a fun build and fit together well for the most part.  Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of 1/35 scale Navy figures on the market that I found.  This set is the PT-109 Crew set also by Italeri.  There isn't much detail to them and they fit together horribly.  I had to do a lot of filling to close the seams.  There is pretty much no facial detail at all.  I did like the poses though and wanted figures that were doing chores on deck.  Hope you enjoy.  My next project is the 1/32 scale B-17 E/F and I'm really looking forward to getting it started.  It's huge!

Pardon my ignorance but what are the tube like structures extending over the rail near the bow? Really awesome looking model too!

That is an excellent piece of work. Great detail and the day of maintenance routine really gives it a sense of realism.

Very nice, I never realised that the torpedo casings were copper. I always assumed they would be grey or green, to stop reflections.
