Blacksmith Posted September 17, 2019 Share #2 Posted September 17, 2019 It is an original mid-to-late WWII example, that appears to have seen at least one campaign with a bench grinder.
Mr.Jerry Posted September 17, 2019 Share #3 Posted September 17, 2019 And interestingly is USMC marked, but the scabbard has the Army style alpha numeric laundry marking. A quick search shows 80 possible matches, any idea where it came from?

sactroop Posted September 17, 2019 Share #11 Posted September 17, 2019 The manufacture is Union Cutlery Co. they owned the brand name Ka-Bar. Only their knives were marked with that name, during WW2 three other companies made the same knife for the Navy and the Marine Corps. Camillus, PAL, and Robeson. A few years after the War Union Cutlery changed their name to Ka-Bar and is still in business today.
