So I've been going through some old family photos and as my Father was a WW2/Korean Veteran he incorporated some of the items he brought home in his every day life. I thought it would be interesting to post U.S. Military Equipment that was used at home or by civilians during their every day life. All these photos are c. 1950-1963.

My dad brought home from his service (mid 1960s) a wool blanket. It was stowed in the back of our old Chevy station wagon. It kept us kids warm for years!

Also, at some time, he smuggled a stainless steel pitcher from the mess hall. We used it as an everyday item for many years. I think he still has it!

Well, my strangest was while I was at Mother Rucker, there was a junk store on the way to Dothan. They had BOXES of brand new stainless steel pitchers, or as the label said, Urinals, stainless, 1 each. Being young and just out of college, this was right up our alley! Boy the kept the margaritas chilled! Wish I had gotten a picture.
