seanmc1114 Posted September 16, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 16, 2019 I ran across this photo online showing a Special Forces officer wearing branch insignia that appears unusual to me. Rather than simply being crossed arrows, which I believe is the approved insignia, it appears to also have a vertical dagger similar to the one in the 1st Special Forces DUI. At first I thought it might be the Cyber Corps branch, but it is clearly crossed arrows and not lightning bolts. From what I can tell, the officer was serving in the 1st Special Forces Group at the time the photo was taken. Any thoughts?
atb Posted September 16, 2019 Share #2 Posted September 16, 2019 I think it's the authorized(?) method to show his unit, 1st Battalion, 1st Special Forces....a "1" above and "1" below the crossed arrows.
Steve B. Posted September 16, 2019 Share #3 Posted September 16, 2019 I think atb is correct, but man! That would be a great insignia if it was a dagger!
