Rate Adults (Ages 18+): $14 Veterans and Active Duty Military Personnel: $12 Children (Ages 3-17): $8 Infants (ages 0-2): Free Midway Village Museum Members are Free AboutWorld War II Days at Midway Village Museum 6799 Guilford Road Rockford IL World War II Days at Midway Village Museum 6799 Guilford Road Rockford IL Visitors to World War II Days engage in elaborate 1940s displays in historical buildings on the museum’s 148-acre campus, which becomes the back drop of a European village during World War II. This military re-enactment is the largest in the Midwest and draws thousands of visitors yearly to the Rockford region and the museum grounds. New this year, visitors can view on display an AMTRACK, a landing vehicle tracked (LVT), in the Pacific display area in the southwest corner of the Victorian Village commons. The unit displaying the AMTRACK is the American Guerrillas in the Philippians. Visitors are provided with a map and schedule when arriving to World War II Days at each gate upon entering the event site. Festivities include encampments of Allied and Axis troops in the Midway Village woods and realistic skirmishes integrated in the historic village. World War II Days includes elaborate and realistic battles complete with tanks, artillery, armored vehicles, and exciting pyrotechnic displays. More than 1,000 uniformed re-enactors representing soldiers from the United States, Great Britain, France, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Japan, Italy, and Germany along with 70 to 80 vintage tanks, half tracks and other 1940s military vehicles make this a not-to-miss special event. Many new mementos related to the World War II Days are available for purchase to take home with you as a way to remember your visit. Among the items included are: accessory pins, new souvenir T-shirt design, postcards and mugs. $2 per car parking fee for non-members taken upon arrival when you park. You may purchase tickets at the gates upon arrival or in-advance at the Museum Gift Shop or online. The event is rain or shine. No refunds.
