Recent addition to my Civil War Badge collection. It was not engraved so my guess is its new old stock. This is the only one Ive ever seen and I was very pleased to get it. Civil war Navy I.D. Badges and Disc are scarce , consequently they are usually priced beyond my means. MikeFCC81542-60BA-47A0-890E-92833F6060FE.jpeg 767D7461-7622-4F76-BA8E-B0E8A073DFB5.jpeg

Were these made during the Civil War, or as a commemorative later?

Very nice item. Aside from guns and swords you just don't find much from the Civil War era. At least I don't.

Thanks Sundance , good Civil War items don’t turn up like they used to. The internet gets most of the good stuff posted there now. Gun shows, flea markets and yard sales will produce a good piece every now and again but nothing like 30 or years ago. Thanks for your comment. Mike
