Found these at a local estate sale. His name doesn't make it easy to research.

However, the gentleman below seems like a highly likely candidate.

I cannot find any information based upon the service number on Fold 3.

Am I on the right path???

There are $7 in postage stamps there, but I cannot see the cancellation marks on them...

Nice find, but this is probably him https://www.findagra.../dale-e_-miller

 

He was an officer (Lieutenant Junior Grade) while the listing you found was for an enlisted sailor who was a third class pharmacist's mate. The officers register says he was born in 1912 and entered service in 1943. Hope that helps.
