I just received this as a replacement for one of my fathers WW2 awards.

I received a replacement for mine about two years ago and it was the same type. They really are poorly made.

Some of these are made with a huge opening at the top of the pendant where it suspends from the ribbon. They are the worst! The pendants will often times fall off the ribbon. Heck of a way to run an awards ceremony.

I'm going to leave this all in the presentation case and get a full size medal and ribbon for the shadow box. WW2 vintage one would be nice but with 7 awards, the cost mounts up. Plus my Dad would say save the money for a steak dinner. LOL
