Imperial MK-1 marking question

this knife is absolutely beautiful, minty but, a question about the makers blade marking. is it a ww2 marking?? reverse side is blank. it is an MK-1 type.

It is a "Knife, Survival, Pilot's" approved 16 October 1953, so it is post WWII. #7 page 646 of Bill Walters new book.

Costa- As mikedon stated it is a 1950s Pilot's Knife. Imperial made a straight guard, and bent guard versions. The bent guard looks just like an M3 handle. These are sweet knives, but if you look at the blade, they appear a little delicate, when compared to the later JPK knives. M.H. Cole had them listed in his books as MK1s, but we all found out later they weren't. I really like these knives. SKIP
