Ronald was born on July 17, 1927 and passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017.

 

Ronald was a resident of Illinois at the time of passing.

 

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 25, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the Edison Park Lutheran Church, 6626 N. Oliphant Ave.; Chicago, Il.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Edison Park Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

 

 

Ronald G. Uding , Age: 90

July 17, 1927 -- October 21, 2017

Ronald G. Uding, age 90, passed away October 21, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Lois C. Uding (nee Elk); loving father of Avis (Charles) Fiala, Diane (John) Cherry and Krista (David) Moss; proud grandpa of Kirk Cherry, Ethan Cherry, and the late Brent Cherry; dear brother of Marilyn McClory (late Michael) and Kenneth Uding (late Perla); cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. This is the only thing I could find on Fold3.  I also checked all my other sources like newspapers etc. as well.

The duffel bag itself has what looks like;

36th ING

671 Prov. Co.

 

I thought maybe the "ING" (if that's what it is) might stand for Illinois National Guard, but I couldn't find anything when doing a search for "36th Illinois National Guard".

 

I think the "Prov. Co." stands for Provincial Company, but I came up with nothing when searching for "671 Provincial Company" or "671st Provincial Company" either.

 

Maybe you could contact the Illinois National Guard and see if they know anything about what's on the duffel bag.  Just a thought.

     Thanks,  i will give it a good home.  I have another bag, dated 1944,   what about this soldier,  Robert Hellwig . 36035294? thanks.
