usmcdoc67 Posted August 4, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 4, 2019 Picked up some LC recently and found 80 rds. M62 orange tip & 10 rds. M276 Violet tip (Dim) tracer contained in the batch. Wondering any value to them? Saw post on M14 forum that some sold for as much as $30 per rd. Find that really hard to believe! THOIUGHTS??

917601 Posted August 4, 2019 Share #3 Posted August 4, 2019 What date does the headstamp read? .308 tracer rounds are notorious for not tracing....usually older ammo. That said, working tracer rounds are bringing .70-a buck max each. Are they boxed with the lot number? Loose? If loose, are the primers sealed? Loose rounds are a minus, ( may be reloads, especially if primers not sealed) packaging a big plus. Pictures will help in determining value. usmcdoc67 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted August 5, 2019 Ammo was bulk loose. Head stamp LC 10 & 13 w/nato cross. Primers were sealed & in real good shape from what I can tell. Took 75 rds. to range, functioned flawlessly. Not planning to shoot any of the tracer rds..
