FOUND THE LEATHER FLIGHT SUIT IN THIS US NAVY PARACHUTE BAG.

THE METAL TAG HAS A NUMBER ON IT AND THE BAG HAD A NAME ON IT (GENE B. WHETSTONE).

ANY HELP APRECIATED.

32 is the prefix number for a B-24. In your case it could also be for a PB4Y. The stamp below that looks like a QA stamp. The leather flight suit would be in keeping with a high altitude aircraft like the B-24/PB4Y. I have been to a number of B-24 crash sites and the stamp is in keeping with other stamps I have seen on many parts. Some times it's GK32- or 32- or like yours 32 that runs into other letters or numbers. On a side note I posted my B-24/PB4Y Pilots seat this week.
