Ilin1979 Posted July 26, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 26, 2019 Would this be a rare crest. I understand it was approved after WW2.
Reforger Posted July 26, 2019 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2019 Nice crest. I would say rare, but not exceptionally rare or valuable. Just my opinion.
Allan H. Posted July 26, 2019 Share #3 Posted July 26, 2019 Typically, US made crests aren't overly rare. What makes the desirable is the type of unit and the design. If they are WWII and are made out of sterling silver, or plastic, they are going to be worth a lot more. I would hazard a guess that your DUI is worth around $10 to $15. The three bugle horns are taken from the coat of arms of the province of Liege in Belgium, where the town of Malmedy is located.
