Just got this and know nothing about it. The PH has no serial number or engraved name. Real? The oiler has had the front cut out and is mounted to a nicely made wood base.
Definitely a unique item. It's outside my area of expertise and collecting interest, but I couldn't pass up something these weird. Don't know if I'll keep it, it freaks out my wife for some reason.
What say you?

Has an improvised suspension ring....Guess it would be hard to say with 100% certainty as to when it was done, but agree it's unique.....Bodes

Is that a German oiler?  I thought those were U.S.

Not my area of expertise, so my apologies if I'm wrong.

I think it's a German MG oiler, but I'm no expert.

I've seen these with the 3 letter German factory code on the front, which has been cut-out on this one.

I'm leaning towards selling it, but it's so darn weird!
