SKIPH Posted July 21, 2019 Share #4 Posted July 21, 2019 Bodes is right about the barrel. The receiver was manufactured in June of 1943, but most of the WW2 SAs that I have seen have replacement barrels dated in the 50s, some in the 60s. If you have a 43 dated barrel that's pretty cool. So, pull the bolt to the rear, look at the exposed part of the barrel between the hand guard & the stock, just in front of the receiver. You should see a date ie; SA 6 43, or say SA 10 53,for a post war rebuild. SKIP

iron bender Posted September 5, 2019 Share #13 Posted September 5, 2019 EMcF? Inspector mark on stock. Port side underneath rear receiver typically. Most times they've been scrubbed or restocked. They can also be very faint. Maybe 3/4" square with initials in the square. I'll take a pic of a couple stock marks later
