This is a wooden box for UN 0048 demolition charges. It has feet made from 40mm grenade shells and is named to a Corporal. One of of the inscriptions refers to "CAB" so this may be a unit in the Combat Assault Battallion before it was deactivtated in 2018:

Combat Assault Battalion was deactivated in October, 2018 with the Battalion assets divided between the rest of the 3d Marine Division. Most of the Battalion's assets including AAVs and LAV-25 mechanized vehicles were transferred to 4th Marine Regiment. The Battalion's Combat Engineer Company was be reallocated to other Marine units, including 3d Marine Regiment and 1st Combat Engineer Battalion.

The back of the box is decorated with the acronymn YATYAS - "You aint tracks then you aint squat" - SQUAT's the polite version.

One of the inscriptions says "I'll catch you in the states..." so it seems to have been presented when he rotated out of his unit while overseas???
