jumpy1111 Posted June 26, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 26, 2019 My grandfather, Robert "Rocky" Ridgway served with the 82nd Airborne's 1/505th Parachute Infantry Division in 1967-1969. I don't know much about his service besides basic facts, as he was very withdrawn when talking about it to me or my mom, never really opening up to anyone about his experiences in Vietnam, where he was stationed, what company and platoon he was with, etc. He always said that he was special forces, and I'm not 100% sure what he meant, as I am mostly sure that he was not with any special forces group or MACV SOG, although possible considering his mysteriousness considering the war. Can anyone help me find out any information about his service and help get me in the right direction? Also, if you have anything named to him, or any photos with him in them, or possibly in them, I would happily pay money for those objects.
