digi-shots Posted June 24, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2019 Can anyone help date these three patches. The center one with stars looks like a Vietnam military assistance but I am not familiar with it. First one has blue twill under the rocker, the center has od green between the patch and rocker. The netting on the back of the center one glows as does the trim on the entire patch. Are these good or reproductions? Thanks!

Wake1941 Posted June 24, 2019 Share #3 Posted June 24, 2019 The middle looks like a repro, the other two stand of chance of being 60s/70s period
patches Posted June 27, 2019 Share #4 Posted June 27, 2019 To add to Wake. The one on the left is a late 60s early 70s merrowed edge (appears to have broad flat merrowed border with the tail in the back removed, traits of a late 60s early 70s type), the tab? mismatched one, and attached with Blue thread, tab, a early-ish mid 60s flat or cut edge, excess base material untrimmed, tab attachment probably done by someone other then a GI since both tab and patch are unused and never been sewn on any uniform before. In the center is considered a 1960s Fantasy patch for the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment/Regimental Combat Team. This is the Duly Authorized one as seen in the early 1950s HERE and in the early to mid 1960s HERE. The one on the right, late 50s into late 60s, might have rayon or polyester/nylon White bobbin threads?
