Vpep Posted June 20, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 20, 2019 Hello Everyone, I friend of mine is offering me these patches. Patches have never been my strong suits Im hoping to get some more knowledgeable opinions. Unfortunately this is the only photo I have, but Ill try to get one of the reverse of the patches. Thanks in advance for all your help and opinions, Vic
Wake1941 Posted June 20, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 20, 2019 From what I can see most look legit, photos of the backs would help though.
Vpep Posted June 20, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted June 20, 2019 Thanks for the comment. Are there any in particular that you might shy away from or at the very least look at more closely?
Wake1941 Posted June 20, 2019 Share #4 Posted June 20, 2019 Looking at the front all appear to have a chance of being legit. But Im not an expert on the woven ARVN and Im not sure what the large patch is on the left
gwb123 Posted June 20, 2019 Share #5 Posted June 20, 2019 I think you have a mix of old and repro here. I like the 18th MP, but as far as I know, the Free World Forces Vietnam patch only existed as a printed pocket hanger. It was never worn as a shoulder patch. I will try to look at these again later. vintageproductions Posted June 20, 2019 Share #6 Posted June 20, 2019 They are all real. The Free World Forces patches come in printed vinyl, hand embroidered and machine embroidered.
Bearmon Posted June 20, 2019 Share #7 Posted June 20, 2019 Any idea on the large patch on the left, which strangely resembles a uterus?
Vpep Posted June 20, 2019 Author Share #8 Posted June 20, 2019 I thought that looked familiar. I think I remember that from health class.

LIFER Posted June 23, 2019 Share #10 Posted June 23, 2019 Any idea on the large patch on the left, which strangely resembles a uterus? I was wondering about that patch as well. (Funny)
LIFER Posted June 23, 2019 Share #11 Posted June 23, 2019 I agree with Gill. That's a nice 18th MP BDE patch. The backs would help. I will wait to see what Gill says with the follow up.
