Theriddler Posted June 18, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 18, 2019 Hi Guys Just acquired a P64 Liner with 6th June 1966 stamped on the webbing. The sweatband has the following DSA number, DSA-1-8319, anyone any idea which year that refers to?
Ivydiv Posted June 18, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 18, 2019 DSA 1- 8319 is 1964. Under DSA 1-2000 is 1963, over DSA 1-2000 is 1964, then DSA 100- under 2000 is 1965, over DSA 100-2000 is 1966. Starting in 1967 they went to the DSA 1- 67C or DSA 1-68C etc. The numbers before the "C" are the date.
Theriddler Posted June 18, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted June 18, 2019 Thanks, thats a great help, lots of very useful info. One other thing, according to Mark A Reynosas book Post WWII M1 Helmets the stamping on the liners webbing is consistent with a Marmac manufactured liner yet the book kind of contradicts itself by listing the mould mark as a Westinghouse mark. I personally think the mould mark is a Marmac stamp but what do you think?
