Capt.Confederacy Posted June 14, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 14, 2019 Here's something I've been meaning to post for a while that I thought the forum would find interesting. These pieces were from a Newsweek Magazine reporter who attended the National Victory Parade for Desert Storm in Washington, DC, back in 1991. They include passes to special events and special parking.
Allan H. Posted June 14, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 14, 2019 I know that the ARCOM to which I was assigned sent the general's staff to go march in the parade with none of them being ODS veterans. The parade was held on June 9, 1991. Many of the soldiers, sailors and airmen who had participated in ODS were still not back from the Persian Gulf when the parade was held. Capt.Confederacy Posted June 16, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted June 16, 2019 I did not know that. Seems like it would have been better to wait on the parade until the bulk of DS vets could have participated.
