TheGreenMachine Posted June 12, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 12, 2019 I'm trying to find out which type of US binoculars were used during the vietnam war. Whenever I try to search the internet, the M19 always pops up. On the outside, the M19 really looks like an vietnam-war/cold-war era binbocular from the 60s, but after some reading I came to understanding, that while the M19 was developed in the 50s, it was issued to troops in the mid '70s, so maybe except some few prototype pieces, there would be no M19s in vietnam. So, what did the troops (especially US Army) used there? WW2-era M17s? Sadly, the pics of troops with binoculars are very few and it's mostly hard to see the type of binocular. Anyone got some info on this?
