bbmilitaria Posted June 10, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 10, 2019 Hello all, this is the second one of this patch I have obtained in the last 20 years in military patch lots. I do not think it is military related, but figured I should double check before throwing in the dollar box. Measures 2" across and does not glow under black light, so it is an older patch. Does anyone have an ID, association, or am I the only one who runs across these? Thank you, Mike

vostoktrading Posted June 10, 2019 Share #3 Posted June 10, 2019 Seeadler is German for sea eagle. I don't know what this patch is from though. There was a famous German Navy surface raider from WW1 named the Seeadler. I'm certain this isn't from that ship or era but perhaps some much more recent group used the cachet name of the old raider? Eric Queen Posted June 10, 2019 Share #4 Posted June 10, 2019 FGS Seeadler? Seems odd though that anything postwar German would have a skull and crossbones.
ocsfollowme Posted June 10, 2019 Share #5 Posted June 10, 2019 German navy fast attack craft FGS SEEADLER (P-6118)?
bbmilitaria Posted June 11, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted June 11, 2019 I have never thought of it being German naval related, could be. Seems to be typical U.S. construction.
