phantomfixer Posted June 9, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 9, 2019 No markings on this knife..nothing on the clevis nor blade...has brass shims between the springs...the punch is broken off.. Is it USGI or civilian ?
thorin6 Posted June 9, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 9, 2019 US Army issue, 1944.
sactroop Posted June 9, 2019 Share #3 Posted June 9, 2019 IMHO, probably closer to 1945 with the can opener situated next to the main blade instead of on the clevis end of the knife.
Misfit 45 Posted June 9, 2019 Share #4 Posted June 9, 2019 If I were talking to you face to face, I would say your knife is a WWII produced knife made by Kingston (which is a combined effort company by Imperial and Ulster.) It is the second version of this knife, as noted, with the screwdriver on the same side as the main blade. But since I am on the forum, I must also say that there is a good possibility that your knife was made post war with left over inventory and sold commercially. There, I said it.
