Warning repro Luxemburg paratrooper wing for sale on eBay

Recommended Posts

I didn't think this would fool anyone but it is up to 13 bids at $200.00 currently for what I feel is a fantasy piece (see link) so buyer beware.

This looks like a cast piece and another one is currently for sale as a reproduction made of sterling on the *************** Gallery website (see link).

Yep, but unless you want to make your own fakes using the Luxenberg name, it means nothing.

Except he threatens you with legal action I'm told! :-)

Ironically it didn't stop him from absconding with many other people's intellectual property when he lifted a great deal of images and text from other people's post from this forum for his so-callled book.

Patrick,

Over the years, I have had so many "collectors" and "historians" lift information that I posted and used it as their own. At one point, I seriously considered ceasing the sharing of knowledge and experience for that very reason. Now, I just look at it as part of the cost of doing business so to speak. I know EXACTLY what you mean about W________ "stealing" information. He used a fair amount of my exact words in his book. You won't find my name in the credits either.

I absolutely agree with you Allan (as always well said!). Not to get too far into the weeds about HeWhoShallNotBeNamed, below are some very interesting threads about the current Luxenberg-marked jump wings (the one shown in the OP is more than likely a reproduction), and some background about the urban legend of the elusive VINTAGE Luxenberg-marked wing.

Also the original thread where the purchase of the Luxenberg hallmark was mentioned.

Outside of pointing fingers, these old threads were very good for getting some excellent information out to collectors.

Those who presume to do evil, stealing the thoughts given individuals according to the intellect, understanding and wisdom God has given them in pursuit of those areas of excellence, in this case the preservation of authentic history, these saboteurs shall always be met with the justice of universal mistrust which brings isolation and paranoia and deterioration of the mind and spirit. Forget about this person you speak of, and continue to shed light on the darkness that he attempts, along with his patrons, to pass as verity, as truth, as authenticity. For justice shall arrive in the timing decreed by the One whose Justice is made sure by omnipotence. The justice which makes us collectors stand in awe and preserve those through whom that Justice is purveyed, a military set against evil as a bulwark preserving righteousness, as our nation's military has so often had the task thereof if not restrained by the selfish interests of politicians.

Amen Brother. Your words are finely crafted and right as rain.

Thank you.

I see this is a creation casted by the one who shall go nameless who makes fakes...

Yes fakes all day long.
