tarbridge Posted June 3, 2019 Share #5 Posted June 3, 2019 Normally the obliteration in this style had been done by Orber.
Costa Posted June 3, 2019 Share #6 Posted June 3, 2019 ww2, looks to be ready to be made into a bracelet with the holes drilled.
The Rooster Posted June 3, 2019 Share #7 Posted June 3, 2019 Orber. I dontknow the full story but they got into some legal troubles and the name Orber had to be obliterated before they were sold? I think? I have one where the whole hallmark has been dug or drilled out. Looks lke someone was going to make a bracelet or necklace out of it. Nice wing. Im going to go with ww2 what Costa says. He knows more than I do about these.
tarbridge Posted June 3, 2019 Share #8 Posted June 3, 2019 WWII...Yes. I understood the US Army would not issue a wing with a maker's name or logo at one time to Graduates of courses...Orber obliterated their logo.
