barryeye Posted June 1, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 1, 2019 Gentleman. I am sure that I have read that a large quantity of M3s were given to the South Vietnamese army by the U.S. Can any of the more learned members here confirm this and if so what kind of numbers? There appear to be very few photographs of the M3 being worn during this conflict.
SKIPH Posted June 2, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 2, 2019 I have seen photos of M3s in South Vietnam, also pics of the French Paratroopers wearing them at Dien Bien Phu. As to the numbers given, I have no clue. But, I know for a fact that the US gave a lot of M3s w/ M6 scabbards to Honduran units in the 1980s. I saw, and and handled those.
