KommandoPost Posted May 30, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 30, 2019 I found this vest today. It's 2002 dated, which is a bit unusual since there were better designs out by that time, but I guess it did happen for a while considering I also found an also obsolete RBA vest with a 2002 date a few weeks ago, and a TG Faust vest with a 2003 date was posted here: http://oefoif.forumotion.net/t6261-2003-tg-faust-special-forces-vestDoes anyone know what the "ACU I 01" stenciled on the back plate bag means? Also was the gear shortage just after 9/11 really so bad that all the "standard" M81 woodland cordura got consumed? 2/2 items made in 2002 I have found so far, from different manufactures, were made with the same green tinted, almost ERDL cordura. Is that even entirely Berry Compliant considering the fabric could have been printed in Korea? I ordered a swatch from https://www.therainshed.com/shop/Fabrics/SWATCH-SET/Camo-Fabric-Color-Swatch-Set-3298/p/1000-Denier-Coated-Cordura-Woodland-x19537194.htm and it is practically a perfect match to the "ERDL" material items I have. The page says the fabric comes from Korea.
