This came from the estate of a career Air Force navigator, he flew in recon aircraft. I believe its a small antenna of one of the aircraft he flew on, but I am curious what the purpose of this is and maybe what aircraft it could have come from? It is about a foot long total. Broad question, I know, but I had to ask. Thanks!

I believe it is a static discharger. I couldn't say what aircraft it may have been for though. Our F-111's had them mounted on the trailing edges of the horizontal stabilizers from what I remember. Jim
