US Victory Museum Posted May 22, 2019 Share #12 Posted May 22, 2019 Magnificent! I can very much appreciate the rarity of these uniforms. It must have been a labor of love seeking them. Thank you for presenting them. Msn

Allan H. Posted May 23, 2019 Share #15 Posted May 23, 2019 Steve D., What an OUTSTANDING collection! Thanks for showing us these extremely rare uniforms from your collection. I know what a pain it can be to take the photos, load them up, write the text and submit the thread only to hear crickets afterwards. I'd say you'll easily see 100 jump jackets or airborne Ike jackets for every flight nurse uniform that you see. In nearly 45 years of collecting WWII uniforms and insignia, I can count on one hand the number of flight nurse uniforms that I've encountered. I have NEVER seen one come out of the woodwork. Brian Dentino Posted May 23, 2019 Share #17 Posted May 23, 2019 Steve, thanks for taking the time and effort to show us these great (and as stated) rare uniforms and covers. How long has this collection taken to assemble? Like Allan said, you see 100's of para items but never really see anything from flight nurse's. Very outstanding collection you have there! Steve D. Posted May 23, 2019 Author Share #18 Posted May 23, 2019 I have been colecting for over 50 years, but I would say that most of the Flight nurse items have been acquired within the past 10 years.

Allan H. Posted May 24, 2019 Share #21 Posted May 24, 2019 I have always been taken by the photo of Ensign Jane Kendeigh and even though I have posted it before, I just wanted to post it again. She and the other flight nurses deserve to be remembered this weekend. God bless them all. Allan
