Raidercollector Posted May 21, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 21, 2019 What do you guys think about this care tag ? To me it looks fishy https://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-CAMILLUS-U-S-MARINE-CORPS-FIGHTING-KNIFE-w-ORIG-SHEATH-TAKE-CARE-TAG/352668650572
Broadsword_7 Posted May 21, 2019 Share #2 Posted May 21, 2019 I was wondering the same thing...
mikedon Posted June 1, 2019 Share #3 Posted June 1, 2019 It looked in too good of condition to be with that knife to me. They are very fragile. I have 10 of them and even when they came with a mint knife the care tag is yellowed and worn. If it is real it is in excellent condition.

mikedon Posted June 1, 2019 Share #6 Posted June 1, 2019 This one came with 2 care tags, one on top of the other. Even the one on the bottom was yellowed and worn.
zzyzzogeton Posted June 1, 2019 Share #7 Posted June 1, 2019 It went for way more than it's worth, IMO. While the knife and sheath are in excellent condition, there is too much in/out wear on the phosphate coating for that tag to have been on that knife from the gitgo. Abrasive removal of that magnitude would take MANY in/out sequences to generate that wear.
ccyooper Posted June 3, 2019 Share #8 Posted June 3, 2019 I agree with MD and others. The tags are fragile and that knife had been removed from the scabbard many times. The paper didn’t look right and it looked too new.
