Does anyone have usage photos of this item, and more info on it like a specific date range? From what I've read it seems to be from the 1980's, maybe even a bit earlier.
I found it at a swap meet some time ago.

None of the buckles have date codes. I have another mystery South African chest rig with similar buckles (with nearly the same writing in fact) with 89 date codes if that helps.

I've seen photos of guys attaching the top lid onto their LBE or vest. The pack was made in the 80s, but saw use through out the 90s. I was outside of Fort Bragg in the early 2000s and a guy brought in about 10 of those packs into a surplus store.
