ww2marine Posted May 17, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 17, 2019 This is a flag that belonged to Robert Rocheska from Detroit, MI. Rocheska served with HQ/3/2 at the battles of Tarawa, Saipan and Tinian. Off Okinawa his troop transport was hit by a Kamikaze and he had to be picked up by another ship. After the surrender Rocheska did occupation duty in Nagasaki, Japan.
