Hi all.

How many folks out there in forum land have this particular year of manufacture cover in their collection? A friend of mine and I got to talking and we seem to think these are one of the hardest to find. I have only seen a handful.

Anyone have examples they show?

Have not been to a Gun Show in several years and one was going on next door to the flea market so decided to go on in. FOund the same old dealers from way back with the same overpriced goods...but did pick this up. Very nice condition except for some holes in one flap. post-70300-0-54537300-1577635443_thumb.jpgpost-70300-0-06367600-1577635461_thumb.jpg

Here's a neat update, for awhile now I've suspected the P.O 62 covers were the 3rd and final batch of covers produced for the Marine Corps, today I received a P.O No. marked M-14 ammo magazine pouch marked - P.O No. 9664 - 62

I've been collecting field gear for a long time and this is only the second P.O marked pouch I've seen, the first one was a few months ago sold on ebay.

I also have a red patched short party P.O 62 cover in my collection and P.O 62 covers with Marine Corps rank inked into the front.

Here's a photo of the pouch next to a clean P.O cover;
