What's your "Holy Grail" dog tag?

Hello all,

I'm curious to know what other collectors would consider their "Holy Grail" dog tag find. If you could turn up any dog tag at the flea market what would it be? A tag to a specific person, event, unit, etc? Mine would be a NOK tag to a Roanoke D co 116th veteran who went ashore on D-Day. I'd also love to find the WWI tags of my great uncle that are hopefully out there somewhere.

So what would be your dog tag find of a lifetime?

My Great Uncle Clarence's tags. He was in the 4th Marine Division on Iwo Jima.

Have mine, my Dads from WWII and mine from Vietnam. Have a few WWI -WWII that are interesting. Curious why, how people don't appreciate and keep relatives dog tags?????

I'm always looking for the early WW1 First Division dogtags, the pairs that have the one circular and one square tag. I think those are so cool! Kim

Read the question at the beginning of the thread. His real one is at his presidential library I think.
