Bought this small plaque today.  I thought it was really cool as you don't see much Antarctica related stuff.  From the little research I found it appears this one is from the 1979 Operation.  It was made in New Zealand as well!

Is the plaque made from aluminum, or a plaster compound?

Thank you!  I think it is a plastic compound, it actually feels like clay or some kind of mold.  Pretty unique!
