jlhworks Posted May 5, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 5, 2019 These are one of those things I always kind of wanted but figured I'd never find a pair. SOG stuff is not something I seek out, though I do have a few nice SOG items. I mostly collect NVA and VC stuff so when I saw these "unusual NVA sneakers" for sale, I figured they were some weird variation or maybe not even wartime. I didn't think much of them until finally the light bulb went off a few days later. I did some quick research and matched them up with the examples on the modern forces website. Everything was identical - the tread, construction, stamps, color, and seven eyelets (actual NVA sneakers only have six or fewer). Best part is I picked them up for the price of a typical pair of NVA sneakers. Still pricey but considering the rarity of these I think it was a bargain. I am only aware of a few other surviving examples. I just unpacked them today and thought I would share them on the forum.

jlhworks Posted May 5, 2019 Author Share #7 Posted May 5, 2019 Next to some SOG captured NVA sneakers. Notice the size difference.

mcdonut Posted May 10, 2019 Share #10 Posted May 10, 2019 Those look like pretty comfy boots. Nice find. What do the real NVA ones usually go for?
