ww2guymandude Posted May 2, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 2, 2019 Had been looking for a 1st AD uniform for my MTO themed collection and came across this nice and simple ID’d ike jacket grouping on ebay. The jacket is ID’d to T/5 Walter J. Ziajor of Taunton, Massachusetts and I’m hoping to find some more info on which 1st AD unit he served with. He seemed to have been with the 1st for the whole war and saw action in 5 of their campaigns, as denoted by the tarnished silver battle star. My personal favorite aspect of the grouping is his wallet which has “Souvenir North Africa 1943” inscribed on it.

ww2guymandude Posted May 3, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted May 3, 2019 Here’s Ziajor’s discharge thanks to another forum member! He was part of “C” Battery 68th AFA, as a fire control instruments operator. He saw combat in Tunisia, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, North Apennines, and the Po Valley.
