I got this lightweight, unissued poncho from estate of an early VN army advisor. can't find another.  I assume they were for the montenards and other peoples the u.s. trained.  any help appreciated, maybe from the specs which I cant 'translate' other than the date and maker's name.  thanks s lot.

further on this: plastic snaps one side white, other black.  and size vs. normal in really small, just 3'6" x 6'  and light, 6 ounces!  also, no corner grommets just button holes

is this maybe like the experimental early bladder canteen - tried but found wanting? (except to collectors!)  here are more fotos if they help   by the way note it has a drawstring neck  and the true color is a light green and hardly reflective
