VMF-124 group that slipped thru ebay

Was surprised that there was only one bidder on this grouping listed on ebay. Included was a variation of the patch,a lighter, papers,newspapers and books. This was all named to a Col who originally was in MAG-25 and later in VMF124. Does anyone know of this variation of the patch and what time period?

I don't have access to my resource material right now, but I think the patch is from the 1948-50 era. That was a steal for $75! Sorry I missed it. Jeffro
