I found and watched this

So... I am guessing you think this is a schluter because of the round shape whereas a a McCord goes straight up slightly and then curves?

This one looking curved like a schluter?Maybe the brim is slightly flatter and the bottom not so curved as a McCord?

Thank you!

I'd agree on it being a Schlueter. Their shape sticks out to the trained eye. Other hints of Schlueter production are the S often found near the lot number and the typical circular weld marks where the rim meets.

The Steel Pot arrived today. Its a beauty and there is an S stamped into it.

Ive tried Contacting the VFW post that Mr Ernst was a member of (Thank you AZNATION )

No replies yet. I thought of trying to reunite the lid with Mr Ernsts family.

In any case its a real nice example of a Schluter Front seam swivel bail.

As near as I can make out…. The stamping number is 334 with a Big S underneath.

All I know is its ww2 production from what I can gather. And Mr Ernst was a Korean War Vet.

Seems to be a real authentic Korean War used Marked Schluter Steel Pot.?
