Possible service flag?

Love of flags

Found this one and talked to the person who had it. They think it's a table cloth from the 1850s. I informed them what I believed it was and gave them reasons why I thought that's what it was and showed them examples. They think it's for the state of Minnesota coming into the union. So am I wrong?

Now let's hope the price comes down, once they finish researching the item. It was a little high when they thought it was a table cloth from the 1850s.

Definitely a service flag, Great design!

Mr. Jerry you think ww1 or ww2? What's a piece like this worth?

My gut feeling is WWII, but you do see some of these types of creative star patterns on WWI as well. There is a historical society here that has a large one done in the shape of an anchor (representing Hope). As far as value I would say $200-500ish. These kind of patterns don't show up much. I wish I could have gotten this one in the book.

It would definitely be a centerpiece in my collection. Just trying to decide if I can pull off the price.
