Ant1942 Posted April 20, 2019 Share #1 Posted April 20, 2019 Hi guys, I don't share uniform pictures too often but I decided to show off a really neat piece of 8th Air force history. Shown here is a custom made Ike with bullion patches and J.R. Gaunt wings. I was hesitant about buying anything with Gaunt considering many are faked but upon looking at the marking on the back and the quality of the wings, I do believe that they are legit. It is a really nicely made British Ike from a company that is surprisingly still around to this day. Its on the larger side too and fits my dimensions almost to a tee (the uniform is slightly bigger but allows for a comfortable fit). It still has the cutter tag attached too so it looks like the Ike wasn't worn all too often/at all really, definitely a nice find and while I am not a big Air Corps collector in comparison to TD or PTO army, It was something I couldn't pass up due to its quality and cool factor. Definitely glad I can share with you/the community as I know you all would appreciate it.
