EGA-DOG Posted April 14, 2019 Share #1 Posted April 14, 2019 Chauncey H. Applegate was born 1890 in New Jersey. He enlisted in the Marine Corps May 10th, 1915. Chauncey would soon be deployed to Haiti with the 16th company. He was issued 1915 Navy Haitian Campaign Medal #2668. Mr. Applegate would ship out with the 5th Regiment in 1917. He participated in all major engagements, and would be promoted to 2nd Lieutenant. 1919 would have him shipping home. But, soon after getting home, he would be sent to Haiti once again.
