Don't you just love those white oxfords that all the nurses of old used to wear? For the ladies like me who re-enact or do living history presentations, quality reproductions of these shoes are so needed as I can't wear my original Navy Nurse white dress/wool cape right now since no suitable shoes have been available.
All Heels On Duty now has the O.A.O. oxford in white available ONLY through April 19th for a limited edition pre-order! https://www.allheels...-o-a-o-oxfords/
These white oxfords were a staple among World War II servicewomen of multiple branches including the Navy Nurse Corps, Army Nurse Corps, WAVES, SPARS, Red Cross, Cadet Nurse, and for everyday civilian wear. Because I love these shoes and the original photos of the ladies so much, I'm going to post pictures below of women from different branches and uniforms in these shoes.
Pictured is the AHOD owner, Caitlin Hebert, modeling these white oxfords with her yellow Red Cross Staff Assistance Corps Uniform and Red Cross Military Welfare Seersucker Uniform.
