hirsca Posted March 30, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 30, 2019 Recent estate sale pickup along with an OD7 1954 dated canteen carrier made by Concord Supplies & Equipment Corp. November 1954. Found with Boy Scout equipment. It seems (too me anyway) to have a stange combination of parts from different models. It is OD3, all brass, with ammo pouch snap, two keepers with ridges and...very thick brass closures (approx. .20-.22" thick) with early styled female shaped closure. No markings at all, even with a thorough night vision camera examination. Webbing measures approx. 39". Also, there seems to be a much larger distance on the belt between the female closure and the first grommet. I searched all things here about pistol belts without finding anything similar. Just a manufacturing variation? All comments welcomed and much appreciated. Thanks, Al P.S. The ink smudges seen in the last picture were most likely our Boy Scout putting his name there. Did not even show up under night vision.
Keystone Posted March 31, 2019 Share #2 Posted March 31, 2019 I'm thinking it looks like the British made M1936. Tim
milsurp_scout_14 Posted March 31, 2019 Share #3 Posted March 31, 2019 Those eyelets used on it are definitely the same as those on British-made belts.
